About me

I am a PhD student in Political Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, my primary subfield is Comparative Politics. My research interests focus on large N analysis, and the impact of macroeconomics phenomena on domestic politics, with a current emphasis on the ways in which macroeconomic crises affect State structure, particularly decentralization in Latin America.

Prior to my doctoral studies, I served as a Teaching Assistant in the North American Studies Program at the Universidad Veracruzana (University of Veracruz) and worked as a Professor in the course "Development Dimensions in North America" at the same institution. I hold an M.A. (Cum Laude) in International Studies from El Colegio de Veracruz and a Law undergraduate degree from the Universidad Veracruzana.
